Mission
The mission of the Iowa Property Owners Alliance is to “Protect the property rights of private property owners in Iowa and to serve as a resource for those owners to more fully enjoy the privileges of property ownership.”
What is the Alliance?
The Alliance is a nonpartisan, nonprofit, advocacy organization devoted to helping homeowners and all property owners in Iowa. The organization is issues-oriented, and is not affiliated with any political candidate or campaign. The organization will work on behalf of property owner members through education and advocacy.
Purposes
- Inform property owners of local and state regulatory issues that affect property ownership in Iowa.
- Provide property owners with easily understandable explanations of proposed and pending legislation, and how it may affect their property rights, both positively and negatively.
- Provide property owners with contact information and convenient methods to personally contact their state legislators.
- Provide property owners with sample key messages that might be shared with state legislators regarding proposed legislation.
- Provide property owners with property ownership-related resources, including links to Web sites providing additional information and/or services.
- Provide property owners with data about market trends, sales statistics, and other related developments surrounding property ownership in Iowa.
- Provide property owners with related information including property taxation, education, and more.
