Mission
The mission of the Iowa Property Owners Alliance is to “Protect the property rights of private property owners in Iowa and to serve as a resource for those owners to more fully enjoy the privileges of property ownership.”

What is the Alliance?
The Alliance is a nonpartisan, nonprofit, advocacy organization devoted to helping homeowners and all property owners in Iowa. The organization is issues-oriented, and is not affiliated with any political candidate or campaign. The organization will work on behalf of property owner members through education and advocacy.

Purposes

1. Inform property owners of local and state regulatory issues that affect property ownership in Iowa.
2. Provide property owners with easily understandable explanations of proposed and pending legislation, and how it may affect their property rights, both positively and negatively.
3. Provide property owners with contact information and convenient methods to personally contact their state legislators.
4. Provide property owners with sample key messages that might be shared with state legislators regarding proposed legislation.
5. Provide property owners with property ownership-related resources, including links to Web sites providing additional information and/or services.
6. Provide property owners with data about market trends, sales statistics, and other related developments surrounding property ownership in Iowa.
7. Provide property owners with related information including property taxation, education, and more.
